Spanish developer Acciona Energia has firmed a turbine supply contract with the Nordex Group for its San Juan de Marcona plant in Peru. The 131MW wind farm will feature 23 N163/5.X turbines from the Delta4000 line.
San Juan de Marcona will be the first Peruvian project to present this model of turbine. Acciona will be responsible for the transport and the installation of the equipment, with commissioning scheduled for late 2023.
The project is located in the province of Nazca, Ica region. Near the Pacific coast and counting with wind speeds in excess of 9m/s, Nordex has stated that the plant will be able to produce a huge amount of power.
