Bayswater has announced that the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC) approved the company’s Ruby 7-J development plan, which envisages 32 horizontal wells close to Ault, Colorado.
The COGCC has approved Bayswater Best Management Practices (BMPs), which include to its push for limiting well pads and storage tanks (hence reducing surface footprint) and implementation of vapor capture and compression technology (diminishing emissions).
According to Steve Struna, Bayswater CEO, the company worked over 18 months for the permitting of the project. This is the second approval received by Bayswater in the Denver-Julesberg Basin under Colorado’s new regulatory framework.
Works for implementation of the development plan will begin immediately.
