Petrofac has earned two new contracts with Cairn Oil & Gas, Vedanta Limited, India's largest private oil and gas explorer.
The combined value of the deals was approximately US$100m and the duration of the contract is four years, with a one-year extension option.
According to the company, these wins include Petrofac's first significant operations and maintenance (O&M) contract in the country, demonstrating that its regional expansion plan is on track.
Selected by Cairn to provide integrated O&M services for its upstream oil and gas facilities, Petrofac will provide expertise in the Ravva oil and gas field in the Krishna Godavari Basin off the coast of Andhra Pradesh.
The Indian company has also chosen Petrofac to undertake a lump-sum engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project to support the provision of well hook‐up and surface facilities for the Raageshwari Deep Gas (RDG) Field, in Barmer, Rajasthan.
The main scope of work, which is being executed on a fast-track basis, comprises bringing additional wells online, augmentation, and modifications to handling and treatment facilities including electrical, instrument control, and safety and protection systems.
