LNG Canada's first cargo has been loaded. This achievement marks the start of operations for the country's first large-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility.
Built in Kitimat, British Columbia, LNG Canada features two processing units. Combined, they reach a total capacity of 14 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG.
A phase 2 for LNG Canada is currently under planning. It would include the installation of two additional units, potentially bringing total capacity to 28mtpa.
