BYD's energy storage unit has been granted utility-scale energy storage projects totalling over 12GWh by the Saudi Electricity Company. BYD Energy Storage's cooperation with the state-owned company now reaches over 15GWh of projects.
The battery energy storage systems (BESS) will be installed across five different sites in Saudi Arabia. These facilities will be connected to the national grid, contributing to Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goals.
As of date, BYD Energy Storage has provided more than 75GWh of BESS equipment to 350 initiatives in over 110 countries.
