LLOG Exploration Company has announced that the final outfitting of the Salamanca floating production unit (FPU) is expected to be finished this quarter. The project's start-up is scheduled for mid-2025.
The Salamanca FPU comes from the conversion of a previous Gulf of Mexico production facility. It is planned to have capacities of 60,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) and 40 million cubic feet per day (MMcfpd) of natural gas.
The FPU will be deployed at the Castile and Leon fields offshore US. LLOG has confirmed that the initial wells to be connected to the unit have already been drilled and cased.
