Iberdrola has confirmed that construction works have begun for East Anglia 3. The 1.4GW offshore wind farm is being built on the UK North Sea.
According to the company, East Anglia 3 will produce enough energy to meet the needs of more than 1.3 million homes in the country. The construction phase is ongoing since July 2022.
Iberdrola's unit in the UK, ScottishPower, has confirmed that the third development phase of the offshore wind power complex is calculated to reach a total investment of over US$5bn.
Once complete, East Anglia 3 will be Iberdrola's biggest-ever wind farm and the world's second largest in operation.
