Hy2gen has contracted Technip Energies for the execution of a pre-front-end engineering design (FEED) study of a green hydrogen and ammonia project in Quebec, Canada. Dubbed Courant, the project will be built in Baie Comeau.
Technip Energies started the pre-FEED works in early March and plans to have them concluded until the end of the year. Besides offering technical and financial insights, the Technip Energies’ studies will also be used to prospect partnerships in the downstream segment.
The hydrogen element of the Courant project should achieve commercial operations by 2028, with ammonia production following soon after. Both productions will be energised by hydropower.
