Serengeti Energy is developing its first initiative in Côte d'Ivoire: a 50MWp solar power plant in the north of the country. The company has already signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the project with Côte d'Ivoire's Ministry of Energy.
The power plant will be built in Sinematiali, in the Poro region. According to Serengeti Energy, the location is ideal due to its strategic potential and grid connectivity.
The developers operates nine power plants (of which seven are hydropower plants and two are solar parks) in five countries: South Africa, Uganda, Rwanda, Malawi and Sierra Leone.
