China National Offshore Oil Corp. has announced its first start-up in 2025: the Panyu 11-12/10-1/10-2 adjustment project has come online. It involved the installation of a new wellhead platform and an unmanned wellhead platform at the cluster, which is operational since 2003.
The wellhead is connected to the existing Panyu 10-2 production unit through a trestle bridge.
According to CNOOC, the project should produce approximately 13,600 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed) once it reaches peak production later this year. The development plan includes 15 wells.
Located in the South China Sea, the Panyu field has produced more than 380 million barrels of oil to date.
