China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) has announced that the Bozhong 26-6 project has entered operations. Located in the Bohai Bay, Bozhong 26-6 has an average water depth of around 20 metres. It features a new central processing platform and an unmanned wellhead platform.
The operator plans to commission 33 development wells, of which 22 will be production wells, 10 gas injection wells and one water source well. Peak production should be achieved in 2025, with over 22,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed).
CNOOC is the sole developer of Bozhong 26-6.
