Jan De Nul's Voltaire, the world's largest offshore jack-up installation vessel to date, has arrived in the UK before starting works at the Dogger Bank project site. Voltaire had its construction concluded in 2022, and is since then in preparations for its first campaign on phases A, B, and C of Dogger Bank.
Jan De Nul will use Voltaire to carry out the installation of 277 GE Haliade-X offshore turbines. Works are scheduled to start in July.
Once operational, the Dogger Bank complex will have a capacity of 1.2GW and cover 515km². The facility is located off East Riding of Yorkshire coast.
