Oulu Energy has disclosed its plans to develop a 100MW green hydrogen plant in Oulu, Finland. P2X Solutions, which is currently building a hydrogen plant in western Finland, is a partner in the project.
The facility will be built in the Laanila industrial area and will feature, besides the electrolysis plant, a carbon capture system, a hydrogen and carbon dioxide storage and a processing plant (whose final product is still to be defined).
A final investment decision on the project should be made by 2025, with start-up being set for 2028. Once complete, this will be Oulu Energy's first hydrogen plant.
