In northwest Florida, where high water tables contribute to groundwater infiltration, a utility faced persistent sewer system corrosion. NOV delivered more than 150 one-piece, closed-bottom fiberglass manholes on time for multiple residential subdivisions. These corrosion-resistant and leak-free manholes, manufactured in Giddings, Texas, and Waycross, Georgia, are now the utility’s standard. They replaced competitive products that failed to meet quality expectations.
On the West Coast, a utility company in northern California once again turned to NOV, an ASME Reinforced Thermoset Plastic (RTP)-1 certified manufacturer, to replace aging chemical storage tanks at several treatment plants.

Known for its strict quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) protocols and third-party inspections, the utility company chose NOV’s fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) tanks for their proven durability, certified quality, and efficient installation. The 30 above-ground tanks, manufactured at an ISO 9001-certified facility in Belton, Texas, are engineered to safely handle corrosive chemicals such as sodium hypochlorite, while providing long-term structural integrity and resistance to chemicals and corrosion.
Meanwhile, in Portland, Oregon, NOV will supply above-ground fiberglass chemical storage tanks over the next few years for a new large-scale water filtration facility. Delivered under a Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) contract, the project requires long-term pricing, tight delivery schedules, and early collaboration with engineers and contractors. NOV’s ability to meet these requirements secured its role in one of the largest water infrastructure projects in the Pacific Northwest.
Beyond North America, NOV recently expanded into the South American water storage sector with a project in Chile. An industrial chemical manufacturer ordered four FRP tanks, each with a capacity of 200 m³. The tall, slender water tanks—4.5 m (15 ft) in diameter and 13.4 m (44 ft) in height—are built for chemical compatibility, corrosion resistance, long service life, and minimal maintenance. They are also engineered to withstand high-magnitude earthquakes, a critical requirement as the customer’s facility is in one of South America’s most seismically active zones.
In the UK, the WEFS team supported a residential-area infrastructure upgrade by delivering an offsite built combined sewer overflow (CSO) chamber. Constructed from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), the chamber was outfitted with a factory-installed screen and custom rebar reinforcement, allowing for fast installation with minimal disruption. The design was validated through 3D modeling and structural analysis to ensure compliance with heavy-load requirements.
