Iberdrola has selected IB Vogt as the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor of its Fenix project. The solar farm, to be built in Italy, is planned to have an initial capacity of 245MW.
Once civil works are over and Fenix is online, it will power over 140,000 homes. The plant's capacity can be further increased by 60MW after commissioning, bringing total output to 305MW.
Construction is scheduled to start in March this year, making Fenix the largest solar project in construction in Italy.
