South Korea has opened a tender for new offshore wind developments in the country. With 1.25GW of new generation capacity in total, the process is conducted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
According to the government, starting this year, competitive bidding for offshore wind will happen twice every year. The ministry confirmed that this batch will be focused on fixed bottom offshore wind farms.
