Dr Michael Oliver OBE DL, Chairman of Oliver Valves
Oliver Valves Ltd, a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance valves for the oil, gas, and hydrogen industries, has been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade. This recognition highlights the company's commitment to pioneering British engineering, quality craftsmanship, and exceptional service spanning over 45 years.
The King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, were renamed in 2023 to reflect His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II by recognising outstanding UK businesses. The Award programme, now in its 59th year, is the most prestigious business award in the country, with Oliver Valves able to use the esteemed King’s Awards Emblem for the next five years.
Founded in 1979, Oliver Valves Ltd operates from its headquarters in Knutsford, Cheshire, providing critical flow control solutions to some of the world’s largest energy projects. The company’s innovation, quality, and reliability have cemented its reputation as a key player in the global energy sector.
Dr Michael Oliver OBE DL, Chairman of Oliver Valves, said: “We are incredibly honoured to receive the King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade. This recognition is a testament to the skill, dedication, and innovation of our team here in Cheshire. Following Oliver Valvetek twice being awarded the Queen’s Awards for International Trade in 2012 and 2022. We have built a lasting legacy of British engineering excellence. This award celebrates how far we’ve come and reinforces our continued commitment to delivering exceptional solutions to clients around the world.”
Oliver Valves Ltd now looks forward to a formal presentation of the award by the Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire and attending a Royal Reception at Windsor Castle later this year.
