Black & Veatch has completed front-end engineering design (FEED) works for a green hydrogen project in the UK. Named Whitelee, the facility is proposed by Scottish Power.
The FEED contract was awarded to Black & Veatch in October 2024. The firm analysed the integration of a PEM electrolyser package and the design of the balance of plant (BoP) surrounding the system.
The project's site is located near Glasgow, Scotland. It will be connected to the Whitelee wind farm, the largest in the UK.
