The Morgan offshore wind project has received development consent from the UK government. In development by JERA Nex bp and EnBW, the 1.5GW power plant will be built on the Irish Sea.
The companies plan to install 96 turbines over 30km off the Fylde coast. The power output from Morgan is calculated to meet the demands of 1.5 million households per year.
The project's application was under review by government authorities since May last year. The transmission project associated to the Morgan offshore wind farm is still under assessment.
