Alcazar Energy Partners has officially begun the development of a 400MW wind farm in North Macedonia. Named Shtip, the power plant will require an investment of over US$500m.
Shtip will be built approximately 75km south of Skopje. It is designed to meet the power demands of over 100,000 homes per year, avoiding the emission of more than 670,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide every year.
Developer Alcazar Energy Partners intends to take a final investment decision (FID) on Shtip by late 2025, with construction expected to begin in early 2026.
