Pembina Pipeline and the Haisla Nation have agreed to take a positive final investment decision (FID) on the Cedar LNG project. To be built in British Columbia, Canada, it will be a floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility.
The developers expect Cedar to require a total investment of approximately US$4bn for its execution. The project's design entails a nameplate capacity of 3.3 million tonnes per annum (mtpa).
Cedar LNG is scheduled to reach operations in late 2028.
