Woodside Energy has completed the sale of its previous 15.1% stake in Scarborough joint venture (JV) to JERA. It is calculated that the Japanese company paid Woodside approximately US$1.4bn in slaes proceeds and reimbursed expenditures.
The remaining 74.9% are still Woodside's. The JV is responsible for the Scarborough project, which involves the field of the same name and its associated infrastructure. The field is located over 370km off the coast of Western Australia.
Woodside also remains operator of Pluto LNG and Pluto LNG 2, the former still under construction. These facilities will be responsible for the processing of gas coming from Scarborough.
