SNCF Energie has firmed four power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Neoen. With the four agreements combined, Neoen will be supplying renewable electricity to SNCF for a period of 20 to 25 years.
Four solar power projects from Neoen, with a total generation capacity of 111MWp, are covered by the PPAs: Romilly (42MWp), Loirécopark (39MWp), Champblanc (15MWp) and Labouheyre (14MWp), all in France.
It is calculated that SNCF will be receiving an annual supply of 137GWh, enough to meet the demand of 11,000 high-speed train trips between Paris and Bordeaux. The agreements are valid from 1 January 2026.
