Poland's largest gas-fired power plant has now entered operations. The facility, named Dolna Odra power station, is operated by state-owned PGE and features a generation capacity of nearly 1.4GW.
According to PGE, Dolna Odra will be responsible for supplying approximately 5% of the country's electricity demand. Over 3 million homes will be served by the power station.
Dolna Odra's total investment is calculated at US$915m. It was built in West Pomerania with two units, each with 683MW of capacity.
