FECON building Corio Generation’s Vung Tau offshore wind farm

After an official signing ceremony held in Hanoi, Corio Generation (a subsidiary of Macquarie’s Green Investment Group) has selected FECON to build its 500MW Vung Tau offshore wind farm off the coast of Vietnam.

Vung Tau is one of the first utility-scale offshore wind projects under development in the country and, after the necessary permits are acquired, could be one of the first to be built.

After completion, the plant is estimated to produce 1.250GWh per year, avoiding carbon emissions of over 600,00 tonnes.
