BOTAS Petroleum Pipeline Co., Türkiye's state-owned oil and gas company, has announced that a deal for liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply with ExxonMobil. The American company will deliver up to 2.5 million tonnes of LNG per year for 10 years to BOTAS.
 The signing of the agreement was part of Alparslan Bayraktar's official visit to the United States as Türkiye's Energy and Natural Resources Minister.
ExxonMobil currently develops an LNG terminal in Sabine Pass, Texas, with an estimated capacity of 18 million metric tonnes per annum (mmtpa). The project, a partnership with QatarEnergy, is expected to come online later this year, after a total investment of approximately US$10bn.
