ProInversión, Peru’s agency for the promotion of private investment, has awarded a design, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance contract to Acciona. According to the contract, the company will be responsible for two new power transmission lines in Peru.
The 220kV projects concerned are the Ica-Poroma (southern Peru) and the Cáclic-Jaén (northern Peru) transmission lines. Both initiatives will also include associated extensions and substations.
Combined, the transmission lines will require an investment of  €119.6m. Start-up is expected in December 2026 (Ica-Poroma) and August 2027 (Cáclic-Jaén), from which Acciona will operate for the next 30 years.
