Rio De Janeiro, Brazil - July 30th, 2026: Cladtek has secured a contract with Subsea7 to supply Mechanically Lined Pipe (MLP) for Petrobras’ Sépia 2 offshore development in the Santos Basin. The Sépia 2 project is located approximately 280 kilometres southeast of Rio de Janeiro, in water depths of 2,170 metres.
Delivery will be executed through Cladtek’s Brazil facility, supporting local manufacturing requirements and project execution. The facility is operated by Cladtek’s local workforce of more than 800 employees, supporting local expertise, skilled jobs, and the continued development of Brazil’s manufacturing and energy supply chain.
“Brazil continues to see significant investment in deepwater developments that require corrosion-resistant pipeline systems. Delivering this project through Cladtek Brazil allows us to remain close to the work, respond efficiently, and support local requirements while maintaining the standards expected for deepwater developments. We value our collaboration with Subsea7 and remain focused on delivering the Sépia 2 scope in line with project requirements and lead time.” said Eduardo Menezes, Group COO & EVP of The Americas Region.
For Cladtek, the award reflects several strategic strengths, including its track record in Brazil’s pre-salt developments, technical expertise, local content whilst ensuring the facility is globally and commercially competitive. Mechanically Lined Pipe technology continues to provide a cost-effective, durable alternative to CRA flexible pipes, supporting the growth of the Brazilian energy industry.
