Genesis Oil & Gas Consultants Limited (Genesis) has signed a contract with Samruk-Kazyna Ondeu LLP to deliver a pre-feasibility study for a proposed 10 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) oil refinery in Kazakhstan.
The study will assess the technical and economic feasibility of the proposed refinery, supporting early-stage decision-making.
The contract was formalised during a signing ceremony attended by representatives from both organisations and key stakeholders, where Genesis’ role in supporting this major project was recognised.
The ceremony formed part of a wider programme in which multiple agreements were signed between various organisations across the energy, transportation and infrastructure sectors.

Genesis will deliver a structured feasibility assessment, combining market, cost and schedule analysis with evaluation of key technical aspects including site selection, infrastructure, logistics, and potential integration opportunities.
