Baker Hughes has been awarded two major contracts to supply advanced compression technologies for oil and gas developments in the Middle East. The first agreement involves delivering nine electric motor-driven compressor trains to a mature offshore field. These systems will facilitate gas injection, gas lift and gas boosting operations, essential for enhancing hydrocarbon recovery and extending the lifespan of ageing assets.
Separately, the company will supply five electric motor-driven centrifugal compressor trains for Saudi Aramco’s Uthmaniyah conventional gas wells. Awarded by SNSH—a joint venture between Saipem and Nasser Saeed Al-Hajri Corporation—this equipment will optimise production and improve recovery rates.
These wins were announced alongside Baker Hughes' Q2 2026 results, which reported US$3.4bn in orders for its Oilfield Services & Equipment division and US$1.22bn in regional revenue.
