London-headquartered Hydrogen Utopia International (HUI) has launched a new subsidiary, Fortress Fuel, to target the global military energy market. The business will deploy HUI’s proprietary plasma gasification technology to convert non-recyclable waste plastic into sovereign fuel supplies for armed forces.
Designed to mitigate geopolitical supply chain disruptions, the proposed off-grid production bases will generate military-grade JP8 jet fuel, diesel and petrol. Each self-sufficient site will feature bore wells for independent water generation and stockpile up to 100,000t of plastic pellet feedstock, ensuring total operational continuity if external utility infrastructure is shut down.
Fortress Fuel will initially target strategic partnerships within the UK, Saudi Arabia and NATO-aligned territories. The venture builds upon a recent memorandum of understanding signed between HUI and Saudi waste firm Recyclee to convert regional plastic waste into sustainable aviation fuel.
