New board members bring diverse expertise to drive global energy sector innovation and support through EIC's expansive network.
London, 23 April 2024 — The Energy Industries Council (EIC), the world-leading energy trade association, has appointed five energy supply chain leaders to its Board of Directors. The new board members bring a wealth of diverse expertise, crucial for addressing the complex challenges facing the energy industry, especially around the energy transition and fast approaching net zero targets.
Stuart Broadley, CEO of the EIC, expressed his enthusiasm about the new appointments: “We are delighted to welcome these five outstanding energy leaders to our board. Their diverse expertise and profound understanding of the energy landscape will be invaluable as we navigate through the complexities of the industry and reinforce our commitment to supporting our members worldwide.”

The new board members are:
Ann Johnson, Business Development Director at Blaze, said, “Understanding the ethos of EIC and the immense value it offers, I am eager to contribute my experience to radically evolve and adapt our industry, ensuring all member companies, regardless of size, can thrive. I am committed to leveraging my extensive network and knowledge to support EIC's vision and to advocate strongly for our industry's needs at every level, including in discussions at Holyrood and beyond."
Dawn Robertson, Director of Exploration & Production at Bureau Veritas Group, reflected, “As we all embark on the energy transition it is important that we all play our part. EIC is a key pillar and cornerstone for the sector, and it is imperative that the organisation too adapts to the upcoming transition challenges, while continuing to deliver great value for the members; the Board will play a key role in futureproofing the organisation to be equipped for what lies ahead and I am delighted to be joining the organisation as a Non-Executive Director.”

Ann Johnson
co-founded Blaze Manufacturing Solutions in 2006, which has grown into a global entity specialising in technical safety and loss prevention across multiple sectors. Named one of Scotland’s top businesswomen, she continues to drive growth and success in the industry.
Dawn Robertson is the Exploration & Production Director for Bureau Veritas, covering upstream projects from planning to decommissioning. With over 20 years of experience, her career has focused on aligning business strategies with external challenges and diverse industry demands across a number of customer industries including oil & gas, marine and renewables.
Luís Felipe Kessler has spent 30 years in the electric and automation industries. Currently the Global Sales Vice President for Energy & Chemicals at Schneider Electric, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a master's in Global Senior Management.
Miranda Hochberg is the Vice President of Communications for the Transformation of Industry Business Area at Siemens Energy. With a background in international development, governmental relations, and strategic communications, she has driven initiatives that position Siemens Energy as a leader in the energy transition.
Shamila Neelakandan is a dual-qualified lawyer in Malaysia and the UK, specialising in the legal, contracts, and commercial aspects of risk and claims management in the construction industry. With nearly 30 years of experience, she leads HKA’s Construction Claims and Expert Services in Asia Pacific.
