A consortium lead by Technip Energies has been awarded a front-end engineering design (FEED) contract for Corio Generation and TotalEnergies’ Ulsan Gray Whale 3 floating offshore wind farm. The 504MW plant will be built off the coast of Ulsan, South Korea.
The consortium, which also includes Subsea 7 and Samkang M&T, will be responsible for engineering services related to the project’s floater, mooring and inter-array cable (IAC).
For the development of the floating foundation, TechnipEnergies plans to use INO15, its own floater technology.
Ulsan Gray Whale 3 is part of a larger 1.5GW offshore wind cluster to be built approximately 70km off the Onsan port.
