Enel Green Power has begun construction work at Seven Cowboy’s project site in Oklahoma, US. The 300MW wind farm, to be located in the Kiowa and Washita counties, will have 107 turbines.
Seven Cowboy’s output will generate enough energy to supply over 120,000 homes and prevent more than 758,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
The construction phase will approximately employ 300 workers and is scheduled to be completed until the end of 2022.
Enel already accounts for 2GW of operational capacity in Oklahoma, having already built 13 wind farms in the the state since 2012.
