German energy firm RWE has won 77MW in new wind and solar capacity at a recent renewables auction in Poland.
The developer won a Contracts for Difference (CfDs) from the Polish Regulatory Office for the 48MW Znin onshore wind project and 29MW for new solar projects.
Construction on the wind farm, located in north-western Poland, is expected to begin at the end of 2021 and will include a total of 16 wind turbines.
Commercial operation is expected by the end of 2023.
Subject to a final investment decision, installation of the solar projects is anticipated to begin next year with commissioning due in late 2022.
Planned locations for the solar PV projects include West Pomerania, Kuyavian Pomerana, Lubusz and Greater Poland.
