For the EIC UK and Europe Team 2025 was full of wonderful highlights. The team have had a short window to reflect just before the Christmas break on some of the most memorable moments.
Looking back over the year Kim Stephen, Regional Director for the UK said, ‘Without a doubt my highlight from this year is the work we’ve done as a team. There have been so many great catch ups with members, so many brilliant events, it would be hard to choose just one! But to these guys….thank you!’

For Helen Doona, Senior Membership Manager the highlight of the year was the return of EIC Connect. Helen reflected, ‘It was great to bring this event back to the UK calendar and fantastic to see how well received it was. I was able to speak with many members and catch up on what’s happening in the industry.’
Our UK membership managers had various highlights from 2025. For John Petchey, EIC Scotland Membership Manager, it was the EIC charity walk the team completed in July. Walking for around 30 miles and setting off from EIC’s offices in Vauxhall, following The Thames through to Richmond and then heading across the river through Brentford, Notting Hill and Hyde Park, the team achieved quite a feat in around 10 hours. A memorable day indeed and sore feet!
For Nigel O’Sullivan, Southern Membership Manager, the highlights were visits made to member companies Vikoma International, Sterling, which he visited with our US colleague Madison O’Malley and Jo Bird. Nigel said, ‘It was a pleasure to meet EIC member companies to understand how they operate and to visit in person, meeting with key personnel. Thank you to all concerned’.
For Andrew Scutter, Membership Manager North-East, his highlight of the year was delivering Calgavin’s 5-year EIC membership recognition certificate and also being invited to the opening of their new Centre for Flow Processing (CFP) in Alcester. Calgavin marked their 45th anniversary on Friday 19 September with the official opening of its pioneering new Centre which Andrew was honoured to attend.

Daniel Kirmatzis, Membership Manager, South-East said his highlight was accepting member company ERSG’s Export award at the National Awards Dinner in October and meeting host Matt Lucas. Daniel said, ‘It was an honour to accept this award on behalf of ERSG and to present it to ERSG CEO Jim Ryan in December.’
Sara Castiglioni, Business Development Manager, Southern Europe noted joining EIC in May 2025 as the highlight of the year. Sara now forms an integral part of EIC’s new European hub alongside new European Events Lead Tunde Sebok.
Rachel Cottiss, Business Lead and Events Manager said, ‘my highlight of the year was winning the Worthy award at the EIC summer party. It was an honour to be presented with this award for my contribution to the UK events team, going above and beyond for team EIC and our members’.
Rebecca Swain, Business Lead and Events Manager, Scotland noted the return of EIC Connect as a highlight of 2025. Rebecca said, ‘EIC Connect UK & Ireland returned after six years, and it didn’t disappoint! A standout moment filled with energy, connections, and fantastic conversations’.
Emma Cuthbertson, who joined EIC as our new Events Partnerships Manager reflected, ‘My highlight from 2025 is getting to support the delivery of the World Energy Supply Chain Awards, in my second week of joining the team at the EIC – the best way to meet the wider team and our members in a fun and informal setting!’.
