Clearstone Energy has received government approval to proceed with two energy storage projects in the England. The two battery energy storage systems (BESS) have a combined capacity of 700MW.
The consent is related to the 300MW/600MWh Bramford project in Suffolk and the 400MW/800MWh Great Oak Energy Hub project in Sussex. Both have already concluded public consultations with their respective local communities.
According to Clearstone, the projects can be built in time to support the UK's Clean Power 2030 and 2035 targets.
