Synera Renewable Energy (SRE) has sent to Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs the administrative contract related to Formosa 6. The 800MW offshore wind power project is planned for Xianxi Township, Changhua County.
According to SRE's plans, Formosa 6 will be built approximately 35km off the coast, covering an area of over 80km².
Its 800MW development capacity was secured last August, during Taiwan's third auction for offshore wind. This output is enough to power over 850,000 homes.
