Alliant Energy has selected Energy Dome for a battery supply contract. The work is related to the 20MW/200MWh Columbia energy storage project in Wisconsin, United States.
This is Energy Dome's first utility-scale battery supply in the US. Once the Columbia facility is up and running, it will be able to power approximately 18,000 households in Wisconsin over 10 hours.
The design of the plant will be identical to the one implemented by Energy Dome in a battery project in Italy, which is expected to come online early 2025.
