The Maria Quitéria floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit has achieved first oil in Brazil. Operated by Petrobras, the FPSO is located in the Jubarte field, in the Cambos Basin.
Maria Quitéria has started operations ahead of schedule. Initial plans for the development calculated that first oil should take place in 2025.
The vessel has production and processing capacities of up to 100,000 barrels of oil and 5 million cubic metres of gas per day, respectively. It will be connected to eight producing wells and eight injectors.
