Lightsource bp has chosen Amaresco Sunel Energy for the construction of its Enipeas solar power project in Greece. Once operational, the 560MWp facility will be one of the largest solar sites in the European continent.
Amaresco Sunel Energy is a joint venture (JV) formed by Amaresco and Sunel Group.
Having been co-funded by the European Union's NextGenerationEU fund, Enipeas is located in the regions of Larissa and Fthiotida. The plant should be operational within the next two years.
Enipeas is designed to avoid approximately 380,000 tonnes of carbon emissions per year, providing clean energy to over 220,000 households.
