Chariot has concluded feasibility studies for Project Nour, a 10GW green hydrogen facility in Mauritania. The project is carried out by Chariot in partnership with TE H2, which is owned by both TotalEnergies and EREN Group.
A pre-feasibility study on Project Nour was completed in 2022, and the most recent works confirm that the proposed facility is viable. Once up and running, Project Nour will be one of the world's largest green hydrogen plants.
The Ministry of Petroleum, Energy and Mines of Mauritania is also involved in pushing Project Nour further.
Chariot's planned schedule envisage a phased development for the plant. Phase one will cover the first 1.6GW of electrolysis capacity, enough to produce 150 kilotons of green hydrogen per year.
