Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Hyundai E&C) has been chosen to conduct the construction of a major nuclear power project in Bulgaria. The company will be responsible for two additional reactors at the Kozloduy nuclear power plant.
Hyundai E&C's pre-qualification assessment has already received approval from the Bulgarian parliament.  Kozloduy, which is located approximately 200km north of Sofia, the Bulgarian capital, will gain an additional capacity of 4.4GW once works are complete.
According to plan, the new reactors (Units 7 and 8) will feature the AP1000 model, with operations slated for 2035.
