Starting in 2026, RWE's Kaskasi offshore wind farm will start to power seven German industrial clients. Power purchase agreements (PPAs) have been firmed with DHL Group, Ensinger, Evonik, Infraserv Höchst, thyssenkrupp Steel Europe and Vodafone.
Most of the contracts will be valid through a period of ten years. Subsequent contracts, which will then cover all of Kaskasi's remaining capacity, are already expected to unfold in 2027 and 2028.
Kaskasi is located about 35km off the coast of Heligoland and features 38 wind turbines with a total capacity of 342MW.
