Meton Energy has taken a final investment decision (FID) on the construction of its Orycheio Dei Amynteo solar project in Greece. The power plant is planned to have a capacity of approximately 450MWp (432MWac).
The completion of the solar farm will require a total investment of €255.4m, with €127.7m coming from the European Union-NextGeneration EU funds.
The remaining US$76.6m will be financed via a commercial debt facility from Alpha Bank, Eurobank and National Bank of Greece, plus shareholders' equity of €51.1m.
Construction works are scheduled to begin in the next months, with commissioning taking place by late 2025.
