Skyborn Renewables has sent to the Swedish government a permit application to install an offshore wind farm in the country. The  company plans to build a 2.8GW facility named Fyrskeppet.
Located in the Bothnian Sea, approximately 50km off the coast of Uppsala County, Fyrskeppet will count with up to 187 turbines.
Once operational, the offshore wind farm will be able to produce between 8TWh and 11TWh per year. The amount corresponds to 8% of Sweden's current total electricity consumption.
