Brazos Electric Power Cooperative has agreed to transferring to LS Power some of its portfolio in Texas, United States. The operational assets sum up to 2.14GW and are part of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT).
The transfer covers the 1.3GW Jack County, the 568MW RW Miller, and the 280MW Johnson County power plants.
An LS Power’s special purpose affiliate will own the facilities once the agreement closes. This is expected in June, after approval is granted from government approval.
The value of the deal established by the companies has not been announced.
