Chinese inverter manufacturer Sungrow has been chosen by Voltalia to provide 580MW of inverters to the company’s photovoltaic (PV) projects in Brazil.
According to the agreement, Sungrow will deliver 70 units of its SGV3125HV central inverter solution to the 320MW Serra do Mel 1 and 2 – both fully commissioned – and 608 of the SG350HX inverters to the 260MW Serra do Mel 3, 4, 5, and 6 – all under construction since the first half of the year.
These PV facilities are located in the north-eastern state of Rio Grande do Norte, being part of the 2.4GW Serra Branca wind and solar hub. About 80% of Serra Branca has already started operations or construction works.
