About this event

The EIC is happy to announce the Breakfast in Rio - Deepwater Opportunities with Yinson Production

Yinson Production, a subsidiary of Malaysia's Yinson Holdings, is making significant strides in Brazil's offshore oil sector with advanced FPSO platforms in the Campos and Santos basins.

Their latest addition, the 100,000 b/d Maria Quitéria FPSO, is set to commence operations in Q4 2024 at the Petrobras-operated Parque das Baleias integrated project in the Campos Basin. Brazil's first FPSO to feature an "all-electric" configuration, this cutting-edge vessel demonstrates Yinson Production's dedication to cutting emissions.

Another partnership of Yinson Production and Petrobras in the Campos Basin, the Anna Nery FPSO was brought online in May 2023 and will achieve peak production of 70,000 b/d of oil and 141 MMcf/d of gas in 2025. This unit represents dedication to optimising production capabilities and supporting Petrobras' revitalisation efforts in the Marlim and Voador fields.

Beyond Petrobras, Yinson also partnered with Enauta for the Atlanta FPSO, scheduled to begin production in Q4 2024, producing up to 50,000 b/d of oil in the Atlanta field, located in the Santos Basin. The FPSO will operate under a 15-year charter with Yinson, with an option to extend for five more years.

Oil States Industries, a subsidiary of Oil States International, is a leading global provider of integrated energy systems and solutions for the oil and gas industry.

In July 2024, Oil States signed a services contract with Petrobras to conduct operations with Dual Bore Riser Systems and associated peripherals, as well as planning services for these systems. The contractor has been performing such services for the NOC since 2017 and the four-year agreement covers completion, withdrawal and intervention services in subsea wells using a completion system linked to the Dual Bore Riser probe, along with its peripherals and accessories, facilitating operations with subsea equipment tools.

Also in 2024, the company signed a contract with independent player 3R Petroleum covering inspection and maintenance services at the Papa-Terra field, located in deep waters of the Campos basin. The contract entails the maintenance of offshore cranes, mooring stations and riser pull in for the 3R2 (former P-61) and 3R3 (former P-62) platforms in the field.
