World Bank - An Introduction to Mission 300
About this event
Mission 300 is a World Bank-financed initiative that aims to provide reliable energy supply to 300 million people in sub-Saharan Africa by 2030. This is one of the World Bank’s key priorities and will create a significant pipeline of major opportunities over the next few years in the areas of power generation, transmission, distribution and advisory support.
Preparations are underway to launch various projects that fall under the Mission 300 banner and to develop supporting procurement strategies. To support this process, we are embarking on a program of market engagement that will provide an opportunity for potential bidders and other interested parties to find out more about Mission 300 and its objectives.
We would like to invite you to attend a webinar, ‘An Introduction to Mission 300’, on 23 January 2025, at 0900 EST (1400 UK/West Africa), that will introduce Mission 300, its value, timelines, geographical coverage and technological content, as well as presenting the Bank’s approach to procurement for the constituent elements of the initiative.
Over the coming weeks, further events will take place that will focus in on the constituent components of Mission 300, looking in more detail at projects in the regions involved and specific procurement categories.
This initial session will last for 60 minutes and will be conducted in English with simultaneous translation into French. A recording of the session will be shared to all who register to the event.
